Two concerts are on the programme this year in Vienna and the surrounding area!

On 8 September we will play “Fairy Tales and Legends” in Purkersdorf. Fairy tales, stories, legends and sagas have always been a rich source for music. Many composers have used them as inspiration and models, not only for operas, but also in orchestral and chamber music. In our programme, we invite you on a journey into the realm of fantasy with fairytale-like music by Robert Schumann, Leoš Janáček, Johan Amberg and from Engelbert Humperdinck’s opera “Hansel and Gretel”.

On 27 November, as every year, we will play a concert in Vienna in commemoration of the November pogroms of 1938. This year’s programme is dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the founding of the State of Israel, which was a direct consequence of the Holocaust, and will include music from the founding period to the present.
